Twice Convicted Man to Be Released

Initially convicted of Aggravated Murder and 13 other counts in a 2011 jury trial and sentenced to life in prison without parole, Matthew C. Bangerter’s client has reached freedom just before his third trial. The defendant plead guilty to Involuntary Manslaughter, which carries a maximum sentence of 11 years in Ohio, but thanks to defense attorney Bangerter the client was released with time served. The defendant continues to maintain his innocence, but this plea successfully returned his life back to him.
